Looking for Green Cab coupons in New York City? Learn how to evaluate promotional offers, understand where green taxis operate, and check the conditions before arranging your next ride.
Searching for Green Cab Discounts?
Green taxis, also known as Street Hail Liveries or Boro Taxis, serve areas of New York City that are not traditionally served by street-hailing yellow taxis. If you are searching for a coupon, first verify the offer and confirm that it applies to the service you intend to use.
Coupon.Taxi provides general information about taxi promotions and transportation options. We do not promise that a particular coupon is available, and not every offer will apply to every journey or taxi category.
Verify the Offer
Identify the company issuing the promotion and check whether it is current, legitimate, and applicable to your intended service.
Understand the Service
Check whether the journey is a street-hail trip or a prearranged ride. The rules and pricing arrangements may differ.
Compare the Full Cost
Consider the expected fare, applicable tolls, surcharges, and any restrictions that may affect the value of a promotional offer.
What Makes Green Cabs Different?
New York City's green taxis have specific operating rules. Understanding where they can accept street-hail passengers helps you choose the right transportation information for your destination.
Outer Boroughs
Green taxis can accept street hails in areas including Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island, subject to applicable restrictions.
Upper Manhattan
Street-hail service is permitted in designated areas north of East 96th Street and West 110th Street.
Restricted Street-Hail Areas
Green taxis cannot accept street hails in Manhattan's designated exclusionary zone south of East 96th Street and West 110th Street.
Prearranged Trips
Green taxis may provide certain prearranged trips outside their street-hail zone, subject to applicable rules. Confirm the service and fare directly with the provider.
Operating rules can vary by location and trip type. Consult the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) for current requirements.

Five Things to Check Before Using a Green Cab Coupon
1. Offer Validity
Check the expiration date and verify that the offer is still available from its original issuer.
2. Eligible Service
Confirm that the promotion applies to a green taxi and to your specific journey or booking method.
3. Pickup Arrangements
Make sure the planned pickup is permitted for the vehicle and trip type, particularly in restricted areas and at airports.
4. Fare and Additional Charges
Ask how the fare is calculated and which tolls, surcharges, or other fees may be payable separately.
5. Redemption Conditions
Read the instructions carefully. Some offers may require a code, a particular booking channel, or advance arrangements.
Compare Before You Commit
Consider the full expected price and service conditions. A coupon is useful only if its terms fit your journey.
